VAT defaulters to be in trouble: The government has asked all businesses to file their VAT returns by April 29th. According to the Federal Decree-Law No. (8) for 2017, it’s compulsory to file VAT return before the 28th of every month. Khalid Ali Al Bustani, the Director General of FTA, encouraged all businesses to file their VAT returns as soon as possible. He said that it is a legal commitment to file VAT return, to pay taxes and also to follow tax-periods as well as tax-return deadlines, according to a recent report by Khaleej Times.
It’s possible to pay tax and file the VAT return at any time. The VAT filing site is available 24 hours, so one can easily access its services whenever required, Al Bustani said.
